Day 3 Champion and the end of BANDCAST2006!

It’s been a crazy week for us here at EQO. We worked like the slave dogs of really cranky slaves to bring you BANDCAST2006 and release EQO Me, both of which we are now quite pleased with. Thanks so much to all who listened, voted, and participated. It was fun and probably can’t be considered as real work for me, for which I am truly grateful.

The voting irregularities continue on Day 3 much to the surprise of the software company who constructed our voting widget. Congrats to who ever out there was pumping the system full of votes, we don’t know how you did it. The fact of the matter is that a lot of great bands were near the top and NewMusicWest got their group in the end. FIRE BUG was today’s big winner!

I’ve said this a lot, but I really like your tunes Fire Bug. I’m not a musical appreciation slut looking to praise everyone; we just had a lot of good bands competing. I’d buy CD’s from ten of them. So it’ll be Selddogs, Dan Mangan, and Fire Bug representing BANDCAST and EQO at NewMusicWest 2007. I look forward to seeing guys in action, as do your loyal fans I’m sure.

It’s been good times, back to real work for me, shoot.

BANDCAST 2006 still awesome, day 2 rap up…

Day 2 of BANDCAST2006 has come to a close after another fabulous day of music appreciation. We
tightened up the voting restrictions on Day 2 and yet still there was
quite the irregularity with Burning Sensation building an impossibly
commanding lead. However, it didn’t matter because NewMusicWest reserved the right to choose the Day 2 winner from the top 5 vote getters. Sorry Burning Sensation, great as you are NewMusicWest has chosen DAN MANGAN as your BANDCAST2006 Day 2 winner!

Congrats Dan, I can truly say that I love your tunes and I’m sure you’ll make quite the impression at NewMusicWest 2007. This doesn’t change the fact that I’m in love with Andrea Revel and Kyler

, their sweet sounds lull me into a blissful state of contentment…

One day of BANDCAST2006 remains and there is one more spot at NewMusicWest available! The counter has been reset, so bands get your fans out for the last day! Fans, vote for your band into the top five!

BANDCAST 2006 officially awesome, extended to Friday!

What up new music fans,

As
you likely know, BANDCAST2006, the online battle of the bands brought
to you by EQO and NewMusicWest, has been going on for 24
hours already. The good news is that its been awesome and the better news is that it will go on until Friday!

NewMusicWest
likes the set of twenty up and coming bands we’ve assembled and is
willing to offer up two more guaranteed spots at NewMusicWest 2007, the
premiere new music festival in Vancouver.

BANDCAST2006 will go on for the next two days and we’ll announce another winner at 6:00PM Eastern time each day. Bands, get your fans tuned in to vote for you! Fans, vote for your band! The bands are truly awesome! I’ve had a chance to chat with many of them and I’m trying to decide who I’m more in love with, Andrea Revel or Kyler England, they sing to my soul…
