New EQO Mobile Alpha Release

The EQO Mobile Alpha is here. This is the second J2ME version of EQO Mobile and it features IM support for MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber as well as support for the EQO Message functionality that already exists in the EQO Mobile browser edition. Skype functionality is not build into this release, although that will likely not be the case in the near future. We’ve changed out implementation a bit and are now able to support a lot more phones, check out the list here. I must say that support for Windows Mobile and Blackberry devices is also coming soon.

Please give EQO Mobile a try and keep in mind that it’s an Alpha release. Please feel encouraged to share your findings of bugs in the EQO Mobile J2ME section of our forums. The team has worked super hard and crazy long hours to bring you this release, so please be kind! We’re now working hard to add additional functionality and bug fixes that will probably blow your mind, mostly via the functionality since the bug fixes will likely only leave you mildly excited.

EQO Frosh photo contest!

EQO
is looking for the wildest, most ridiculously hilarious pictures from
Frosh Week 2006!  We’re going to turn the winners into EQO Me widgets
that’ll be available to the entire world to post on their pages. If you
win you will be famous and probably rich too, so you should try to win.

What kind of pictures are we looking for?  The
sort of pictures that are so terribly embarrassing that your friends
will hate you for sending them to us.  Pictures that are so freaking cool people
will be compelled to send EQO Messages to your phone offering you money
to bask in your presence.  That’s what we want, is that too much to
ask?  Probably, but we’re asking anyway.

Images containing nudity will not be considered
for the grand prize of world wide acclaim and fabulous riches, but will
possibly be kept for our own amusement, I mean disposed of
appropriately.

Back to School Shopping

Back
to school, back to school… so sings Billy Madison when he heads back
to do Kindergarten again.  I wish I could do Kindergarten again.  Time
to go back to school shopping, check out Kirsten in our silly video.
